 The Material and Spiritual - The Body and the Soul – A balance needed 

The life on Earth - Humans, Flora, Fauna - We the Living here on the Mother Earth - Our Home planet - in awesome motions of Rotation & Revolution in space, part of this Solar system - with total nine planets and the astounding Star Sun at the center (believed to be out main God by many - Though we can never be sure presently at least if this whole creation is just a Random phenomenon or a Planned one by the Almighty - linked to the Super-Soul believed to be allpervasive) looking after us from the center by virtue of it's incredible Light and Heat energy, are rather doing well (though this too is debatable) with the advent of Civilization and all that comes with it - The Sciences - IT - Information Technology, AI - Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and even Self reference eventually like us (accompanied by the fascinating progresses in Transports & Communications beating slowly distances and even times maybe), Philosophy, Arts... 

The life's size is almost microscopic here compared to the heavenly bodies and the whole cosmos & even our planet. The difference is almost mind-boggling as caught in the two common prefixes Micro - The much smaller & the Macro - The much bigger. Both ways it is quite a bit like Infinity. Even all our microelectronics & Radiations making the fascinating Mobile phones possible following the revolutionary Desktops is all exponential progress. Not to mention the directly connected progress in life-sciences like Genetics & Genomics a bit like a snow-ball. Some Science fanatics or extremists are already hoping that by the end of this century we might even succeed in making humans immortal based on Rejuvenation etc.. But it is a big challenge & not so simple (But who knows for sure - Time will tell) as if we have everyone young living around 25-30 we would soon need much more space too. (check some references 1 & 2 at the end) 

who can even say that as the volume / magnitude / size / quality / quantity of AI multiplies and rises they might reach a point where the creation / creator makes it possible to instill automatically a soul in it just like humans... :) (A personal reference - 3) 

The Tangible part of matter sprawled around us here on this fascinating globe is the Normal Matter which is only expected to be 5% of the whole Matter/Energy in the Universe / Cosmos. 68% of the energy is estimated to be the Dark Energy and 27% is Dark Matter. 

The biggest mystery linked to life here following the Material (Parts of the life linked to the Matter - like the living Body & plainly visible and touchable, around us composed of Tissues, Cells, molecules like Carbohydrates, Proteins & Fats followed by Atoms with Electrons, Protons, Neutrons etc...) is the Spiritual or based on the Spirit Soul. This appears to exist Transcendentally through out the body permeating all parts though completely invisible. It is supposed to be the divine essence of all life. Firstly a large portion of humans (we can not be sure in any way about the minds or feelings of Flora / Fauna) can not even be sure of it's existence as opposed to the matter as it requires sublime concepts like belief and faith. As sublime soul is quite Intangible it appears that only the humans can be sure of it's existence on the basis of Belief only. 

According to the beliefs in general the Soul though not sure to exist, is more transcendental and eternal in existence than the body or matter especially in the form of life. Body is mortal in nature & the soul is believed to exist in time eternally. And perhaps as half the humans believe it is the main ingredient which actually lends life like properties to all life forms here. Many people like the Hindus believe in reincarnation and Karmic cycles too based on Virtues & Sins. 

There are many philosophies and religions here like Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism... And the wisest believe that they all are perhaps same in essence and common or one at the center. So there is oneness in diversity in the existence perhaps. 

Hinduism is perhaps the most rich with so many scriptures starting with the deepest- Bhagvad Gita, Vedas, Puranas, Upnishads, Mahabharat, Ramayan - it seems endless... 

Asitis.com: Bhagvad Gita as it is - original translation in English by Prabhupada (ISKCON) around 1972 - He translated this great philosophical work from Sanskrit into English, supposed to be guiding all humans to control their karmas - Thoughts & Actions in this life to attain Enlightenment with Salvation - SelfRealization as following Self-Actualization in younger age. - It really seems to be a Jewel like an eye-opener which appears to be like a renowned base of spiritual wisdom. 

At the center of this happening -A part of an Epic about a war, maybe around 5000 years back - a war in Kurukshetra there is the Lord Krishna - The supreme personality of Godhead and his best friend Arjuna, as well as disciple who defeat the other side with lots of ups and downs. 

There are seven hundred concise verses spoken by the Lord - who is supposed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu who is one of the main three Hindu Gods maintaining balance in the whole Cosmos between all kinds of forces - which are really proving to be the science of self-realization for all in any ages especially now in this Kaliyug - One of the four Age cycles which is the most modern and full of sinners... 

The whole revelation though very simple basically (Simple we all especially humans finally deserve in our lives (including reincarnations - again depends on belief) just what the flavor of our karma is. 

The Gita which can be defined as the all time best seller provides a lucid nature of the Supreme (Soul), Self - maybe individual soul, Consciousness and the Universe or Maya. 

Prabhupada says simply that the individual souls are the part and parcel of the one super soul with ditto qualities. Just as the Super soul plays with the nature to give rise to numerous living beings the individual beings also play with the matter & nature in the vicinity to do similar stuff - for example houses, cars... 

One very profound revelation is that we have the term AI / IT - Artificial intelligence since the last few centuries. Think carefully and we find that we the humans, Flora and Fauna are the Natural intelligence. Now further all created by us like the cars, planes, computers etc which is referred to as AI is in a way actually NI indirectly and logically! 

Maybe in the case of all living beings only here on the earth we can say that maybe the Super-soul and the self-soul both if existing, reside most likely in the heart, the center of the body (the other locations like the brain/mind, stomach/navel are also likely. 

Further it does seem quite logical that Super-soul is the supreme-doer and supreme-enjoyer/sufferer and at the helm (The heart) of the Body - like an Ocean-liner, both the Super-soul and the self-soul together in a very subtle manner beyond our comprehension control all thoughts and actions and act this ultimate dramatics of life - The Maya... 

One good revelation which can help humans to remain cool and calm in life - We should attempt to have good confidence and belief in Ourselves and our abilities, and also our Children and their abilities - So there is no need to worry ever come what may - God gives us all abilities to achieve what we desire and also the basic needs of life.

3-During my 5th, final year at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in the ten semesters we also have Colloquium twice - once based on the two month industrial training and second any suitable topic linked to the student's discipline. As I was from Electrical Engineering class (mostly all Electronics & Computer Science) and had a philosophical turn of mind I chose AI for the 2nd talk - And I did mention this idea and possibility - Soul in AI! there. This group of around 2000 engineers or so, in each of 5-10 (it was around five then - 1978-83) are termed as Cream of the Nation... Sometimes it results in little Ego problems too and even I sometimes had this thought that we are actually Cream of the Universe even beyond maybe American colleges like MIT. But Ego or too much of it is not very good as we all learn in our life-long experiences. We can quote lot of great things from the best scripture ever perhaps the Hindu Gita here...

Resolving not to look back

According to the Gita it seems there is a spiritual sky or world apart from our material world, not visible readily to our imperfect senses. It seems that the material world is only a quarter of the spiritual world. The other interesting point to be noted is that - as the material world is full of miseries linked to birth, death, ageing, injury and disease, the spiritual world is completely rid of these. The bodily conception of life is based on the fact that life is there while the body is living but the soul which is an integral part of life is eternal and never dies like the body. She was a puny bit of the whole conglomeration. Though so tiny she could move. She was moving at breakneck speed with so many others like her and they all seemed like long lost sisters. When she became conscious of herself she was swimming away to glory to she did not know where. She had vague memories of being part of a bigger whole where she was going round in endless circles with many others like her.
