Smiling

Smile it out all the way and as wide as possible to BE HAPPY – Cheese!

A lifestyle replete with wide Smiles and Laughs with nice crinkles is bound to be healthy and happy. What does it take to smile? Just a few muscles and a positive inclination are all that are required. It is well known now that even smiling mechanically helps to elate the mood.

Based on flexing the muscles at the sides of the mouth, a smile is a pleasant facial expression which relaxes the face as well as the whole body. Mostly the muscles at the corner of the eyes also get contracted simultaneously while smiling – Something referred to as ‘Duchenne smile’. In fact this latter is always included in a smile if the smile is not fake or in other words the smile is being expressed from the bottom of the heart.

Smile has a good effect on the general outward appearance of the person’s countenance apart from the lines and creases on the face. This whole body is a creation of God or the forces beyond our control. So we the beings have to accept whatever is given to us. This is the booty of life and since face is at the forefront of all our interactions with others we should try to make the most of it without any negative reservations.

When the face smiles and laughs all the muscles of the body relax and it has a good affect on the general metabolism too. More than anything else it makes one feel good and exuberant. Smiling is linked with pleasure and happiness most of all. It is also linked with sociability and amusement. It is definitely a means of communication and conveys a feeling of welcome acceptance between the interacting people.

Compared to a smile a laugh is a more hearty expression of joy and fun. Normally a smile maybe expressed with the mouth closed but a laugh more often is expressed with the mouth open and the teeth visible often. There are other forms like the grin, the giggle and the snicker or snigger.

A smile is in an effect display based on kinesics and psychology which may communicate feelings of happiness and love apart from pride, contempt or embarrassment. A smile has a favourable influence on others in vicinity and renders one more likeable and approachable.

It is a kind of a signalling system that can also advertise sexual interest especially of a female being. It also increases the sex appeal & physical attractiveness of all especially the better half of the species.

The fact that the young ones smile, laugh and giggle a lot shows the positive effect it can have on the general well being and growth of the body. These simple positive emotive actions make them so attractive and cute apart from innocent to the elders. Even the smiling adults appear more beautiful, handsome and attractive. There is no thinking here – just smile as much as possible at the drop of a hat.

This one remarkable emotion fosters LOVE between all and eases relationships in a family as well as the society. Smiles and giggles portray hearty enjoyment as well as positive thinking.

Anyway it is the best way to rejoice as well said in some song lyrics- Rejoice rejoice we have no choice but to carry on [1]. Sometimes smiles and laughs help to beat fear and thus overcome negative emotions.
