The Tele machine

Unsurely he turned on the switch not knowing what to expect. To his utter delight he was in front of his wife the next moment who was smiling dazzlingly at him. He could not believe his eyes that it worked.

They were together now. He had already achieved half of what he had set out to. He related this to her and she was also taken aback. Now they had two choices depending on the full success of the mechanism.

He had the remote in his hands as he noticed. How he longed to be with his wife forever. The machine provided a window of time. So he had few minutes only to complete his idea and put it to test.

It was a question of the combination of buttons to be clicked. There was a catch though. The time warp created by the machine worked both ways or not?  That was yet to be seen.

He was praying hard and trying to recollect desperately the different combinations he had put into the design. He was almost sure of the combination for teleportation back but did not know for sure if it would work for both of them. As this was the first testing his heart was beating hard.

His wife looked at the genius expectantly. He had a little doubt about one of the combination components. He could not take a chance. Unless of course if he could repeat the feat in case of failure.

He decided to take the chance and the plunge. They both waited with abated breaths as he keyed in the combination. To his dismay he was back sans his wife. But he was not to be daunted. If it worked like the last time then he was sure of the right combination this time.

It did not take him long to be back with her soon again. She looked at him sceptically but he gave her a broad confident smile and assured her of success this time.

In the next five minutes they were seated in their apartment as if nothing had happened. He was wondering next, now whether to patent and commercialize his contraption.
